Requirements for the Authorization to Accompany Child
For children holding AUSTRIAN passports
I. Before travel to the Philippines:
1. Parent or legally-appointed guardian executes an Affidavit of Request, Consent and Guaranty, naming therein the person who will accompany the child to the Philippines and with whom the child will reside in the country. This Affidavit is for purposes of applying for a Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG).

2. Present the Affidavit of Request, Consent and Guaranty to the Philippine Embassy for notarization. Notarization fee is: Euro 22.50. The following supporting documents must be submitted:
- photocopy of the data pages of the affiant's (parent/legal guardian) passport
- proof of the affiant's relationship to the child (i.e., photocopy of the child's birth
certificate or the Court Order appointing the child's legal guardian)
- photocopy of the data pages of the child's passport
- photocopy of the data pages of the passport of the adult(s) who will accompany the child
Note: The originals of the supporting documents must be presented to the Embassy.
3. If the child is staying in the Philippines for 21 days or less, he/she may travel to the Philippines without a visa. The airline ticket, however, must indicate the date of the exit flight. On the other hand, if the child intends to stay longer than 21 days, he/she must secure a visa prior to the journey.
II. On the journey to the Philippines :
In addition to his/her passport, please ensure that the child brings ALL the documents listed below. The immigration officer at the airport will ask for them.
Failure to present said documents may result in denial of entry into the Philippines.

- photocopy of the data pages of the child's passport
- photocopy of the data pages of the passport of the accompanying adult
III. Upon arrival at the airport in the Philippines:
The child should present the documents listed in Section II above and pay the
immigration fees (n.b., the waiver fee is 3,130 Philippine pesos).
Note: The immigration official responsible for approving and signing the child's WEG
application is the Head Supervisor of BI-NAIA (Bureau of Immigration - Ninoy Aquino
International Airport).
